Telemedicine
Telemedicine (also known as telehealth) is an interactive, audio-visual form of communication between doctor and patient. Similar to FaceTime, it allows us to see each other as we evaluate, diagnose, and treat your child's medical needs.
Telemedicine can be a helpful tool and at times we may utilize this for initial evaluations for urgent medical needs to help determine if your child needs to be seen immediately or if a treatment plan can be initiated by telemedicine. Also, some
behavioral and mental health visits (i.e., ADHD, depression, anxiety) can also be conducted via telehealth if desired.
As part of our commitment to meet your child’s medical needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are offering telemedicine visits to our
established patients. Most major insurance companies have agreed to cover telemedicine visits as they would a regular in-office visit. Please contact your insurance provider to determine if your plan provides such coverage. Patients are responsible for any costs that are not covered by their insurance company.
